Nursing Practice Leader - Ambulatory Nursing Administration
Education or Equivalency Required:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. If Master’s degree is in a related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required.
- If qualified applicant does not have a Master's Degree, the applicant will need to complete an advanced degree in nursing, health care administration, business administration or education within five years of beginning this position.
Required License/Certification:
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leadership and/or ambulatory nursing is required
- Demonstrates skills for leading change and implementation of evidence based practice.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrates skills in leadership/management roles.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary team leadership skills.
- Proficient in computer software applications
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with pediatric patient populations is highly desired.
- Experience working in an academic medical center is highly desired.
- Experience working in academia is highly desired.
- Experience with educating the adult learner is highly desired.
- Membership/involvement in professional organizations.
- Professional certification in relevant nursing or clinical area. If no professional certification, expectation is that it will be achieved when employee is eligible to sit for the exam.
- Ability to be flexible with scheduled work hours to meet the needs of the Ambulatory Nursing Division.
