Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing,or related field. If Master's degree is in a related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required. 
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license by date of hire is required.
  • Specialty certification through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body within 2 years of assuming position.
  • Demonstrated experience in using an incident reporting system.
  • Previous experience preparing and presenting education programs such as orientation or in-service training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be proficient in computer software applications.
  • Previous experience with Joint Commission preparedness compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience conducting audits, analyzing data, and presenting results.
  • Experience reviewing nursing research and implementing evidence-based practice.
  • Experience developing/running clinical simulations
  • Trained as a Basic Life Support instructor
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice.
