Nursing Practice Leader - Nursing Education (90%-100%)
Education or Equivalency Required:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. If Master’s degree is in a related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required.
Required License/Certification:
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa.
- Current professional certification in relevant nursing or clinical specialty or role nursing area is required within 12 months of eligibility.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience caring for patients in a tertiary or quaternary care setting
- Demonstrates skills for leading change and implementation of evidence-based practice.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience demonstrated skill in developing/implementing/evaluating clinical programs, staff education and development, and quality improvement. Demonstrated skill in teaching live, online, or hybrid.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills serving within or leading a multi-disciplinary team
- Considerable experience utilizing computer software applications for documentation and education purposes (Microsoft Office required, ERMA/ICON/ CQ desired).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Member/involvement in professional organizations
- Basic Life Support instructor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support instructor
- Experience working in an academic medical center is highly desired.
- Experience working in academia is highly desired.
- Experience with educating the adult learner is highly desired.
