Nursing Practice Leader - Nursing Informatics
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing; if Master’s degree is in a related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa
- Minimum 3-5 years clinical experience in a health care environment preferably in a large medical center or teaching hospital.
- Proven project management skills: ability to coordinate activities and projects across departments, time management, organization of workload, analytical decision-making skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint).
- Experience working independently with a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary team leadership skills with a commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Professional certification in relevant leadership or clinical specialty; if not certified will obtain within the 1st year
- Clinical practice experience at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
- Experience using Epic in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
- 1-3 years of experience contributing to a clinical information system implementation cycle through areas such as design, workflow analysis, build, training, implementation, and support in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
- Certification in nursing specialty or role.
- Ability to assess learning needs and match to the most effective education methods.
- Experience authoring training materials and leading training sessions in a variety of formats.
- Member/involvement in professional organizations
