Obstetric Nurse Consultant SWPCP
Educational Requirements Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- A Current, valid Iowa Registered Nurse license
- Current Iowa Driver’s License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Required Experience Qualifications:
- Current obstetrical nursing experience in labor and delivery.
- 1-3 years of experience in obstetrical nursing in labor and delivery
- Must be able to travel frequently with overnight stays.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
- 3-5 years and current obstetrical nursing experience in labor and delivery.
- Recent demonstrated experience in a high-risk obstetrical setting with the care and monitoring of high-risk patients.
- Demonstrated experience with teaching/public speaking.
- Experience with the development of educational programs.
- Willing to obtain Association for Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) fetal monitor instructor status.
- Willing to obtain certification related to obstetric nursing.
- Experience in a position requiring independent decision-making.
