Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required
  • 3+ years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, working primarily in an outpatient setting.  
  • Demonstrated clinical educational abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a work or other professional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Licenses/ Certification:

  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Occupational Therapist with a high degree of understanding and skill in the evaluation and rehabilitation of complex neurological patients including ALS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, stroke, and other general dysfunctions.
  • Ability to practice in an autonomous manner.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in provision of patient care.
  • Demonstrated effort to enhance one’s own knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Demonstrated program/service development or quality improvement projects
