PA/ARNP Hospitalist - Advanced Nutrition Services
Education/License Requirements:
Physician Assistant (PA): Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA.
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP): A Master’s degree is required. A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred. If a Master’s degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
ARNP - Current certification in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required.
ARNP - Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa is required.
Required Qualifications:
Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in area of practice is preferred or previous experience in specified hospital specialty area or demonstrated knowledge of area of clinical practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies for working with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience providing overall medical care and provide medical management for patients in an inpatient setting is desirable.
Experience exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided is desirable.
Experience managing length of stay, improving resource utilization and decreasing costs to patients and the institution while providing personalized care is desirable.
Experience with the use of EPIC is desirable.
