Education Required

ARNP: A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing or DNP in Nursing is preferred. If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required. Current certification in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required. Must be licensed and certified to work with adult patient populations.

 

PA:  Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of patient care experience gained through education, job experience, or rotations is required. 
  • Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of orthopedic and/or neurologic patient care is required.

  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment or promoting a diverse environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

 

Highly Desirable Qualifications 

  • Experience working in medical-surgical inpatient, surgical inpatient, orthopedic inpatient, or neurologic inpatient setting is highly desired.
