The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking a Paramedic to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. 

 

Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: 40 hours per week, day shift
Location: Stead Family Children’s Hospital (SFCH)
Rotations: no weekends, every other holiday
Merit Pay Plan

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school, and
  • Current paramedic certification by the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and
  • Current course completion card in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association, and
  • Current course completion card in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association
