Pediatric Cardiac Rehab Specialist I
Position Qualifications:
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience Requirements
Some (6 months - 1 year) related experience is required. (Clinical rotation or internship experience in the areas of rehabilitation or physiology that include performing exercise testing; OR professional experience performing exercise testing)
Current ACLS and BCLS certification is required.
ECG Interpretation Skills at an intermediate level required.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within the first 9 months of hire.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Clinical Exercise Physiologist certified or obtain within first year of hire.
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field is highly desired.
Professional experience performing exercise testing
ECG interpretation skills for 12-lead ECG interpretation at an intermediate to advanced level.
