Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Successful completion of the pharmacy technician certification exam within twelve months of the start of employment. 
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy-related experience.
  • Job related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work environment is required.
  • Job related experience and/or commitment to service excellence is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, creating positive working relationships with team members.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
  • Experience with providing education to staff or completion of an educational training program
  • Member of national or state pharmacy association
  • Job-related experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with automation/technology, human resources management, and project management.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and keep multiple initiatives moving forward simultaneously.
