Education Requirement: 

  • Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which includes graduation from an accredited PA education program and/or certification by the NCCPA.Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which includes graduation from an accredited PA education program and/or certification by the NCCPA
  • Eligibility to obtain or current certification as Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Eligibility to obtain or Licensure as Physician Assistant in State of Iowa. 
     

Experience Requirement: 

  • Demonstrated experience in the clinical care of pediatric patients. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with indirect supervision and critical thinking/problem solving skills. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
  • Eligible for or possessing a federal DEA license. 
     

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience of one to three years in the care of pediatric patients or experience that demonstrates knowledge in the care of pediatric patients. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated knowledge and experience providing clinical care in pediatric oncology/BMT.
  • Previous professional experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in pediatrics.
  • Previous professional experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in oncology/BMT.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in ambulatory care. 
  • PALS/ACLS
