Player Development Coach - Men's Basketball
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, coaching or playing experience in an NCAA Division I men’s basketball program, including talent assessment and/or skill development;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated through effective and creative presentation/training delivery; public speaking engagements; clinician experience, or development of creative promotional or educational communications;
- Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships;
- Working knowledge of and ability to: Utilize basic office support software (similar to Microsoft Office 365)
- Ability to operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
- A valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Driving Program standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- More than three years of work or professional playing experience with a men’s basketball program;
- Demonstrated working knowledge of and ability to:
- Assist with the development and delivery of effective life skills programming;
- Collaborate with campus partners and alumni to create and promote career development opportunities for student-athletes;
- Develop and oversee external outreach projects and networking, including community service and alumni relations.
