Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, coaching or playing experience in an NCAA Division I men’s basketball program, including talent assessment and/or skill development;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated through effective and creative presentation/training delivery; public speaking engagements; clinician experience, or development of creative promotional or educational communications; 
  • Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships;
  • Working knowledge of and ability to: Utilize basic office support software (similar to Microsoft Office 365) 
  • Ability to operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
  • A valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Driving Program standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • More than three years of work or professional playing experience with a men’s basketball program;
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and ability to:
    • Assist with the development and delivery of effective life skills programming;
    • Collaborate with campus partners and alumni to create and promote career development opportunities for student-athletes;
    • Develop and oversee external outreach projects and networking, including community service and alumni relations.
