Pre-Award Research Support Manager
Education Requirement:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience with research grant proposal development, including experience developing and expediting proposal budgets for multiple projects at any given time.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated accuracy and high attention to detail in work products.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service in a deadline driven environment.
- Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Working experience with federal, state, UI, and private grants/contracts.
- Experience working with the University of Iowa systems and electronic submission systems such as Cayuse, eRA Commons, and Research.gov.
- Working knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience proofreading grant materials and/or providing feedback on non-scientific content.
