Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or social work (with experience working in K-12 schools). Minimum relative experience is 1 – 3 years or a combination of equivalent work and education experience.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, as is continued compliance with the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards (University of Iowa Operations Manual Part V, Chapter 19). 
  • Experience delivering professional development and/or school mental health-related content in K-12 schools.
  • Experience working with K-12 educators, families, and students.
  • Experience teaching and engaging adult learners in both an online and in person setting. Advanced technology skills related to learning management systems and online learning platforms.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong preference for someone who has obtained additional certifications related to social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health – K-12 schools.
