Requires:

Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, nursing, genetic counseling or human health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Previous experience (5 or more years) in public health or clinical medicine.

Previous experience with supervisory/management experience of program staff.

Experience with project management and preparing reports, charts, and other documents of a technical and scientific nature.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking experience.

Demonstrated ability to function independently.

Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, and database software.

Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.

Highly Desires:

Experience with public health surveillance.

Experience conducting statistical data analysis.

Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint.

Desires:

A background in epidemiological data collection.

Experience with development and submission of IRB or equivalent applications.

Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.

Position and Application Details:

This position is located at the State Hygienic Lab Building in Coralville, Iowa.
