Program Director - (ILEB) Ophthalmology

Education Required

·         A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements

·         A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         5-7 years’ experience with analytical skills that demonstrate the ability to assess current operational effectiveness and needs.

·         3-5 years’ experience in fundraising, grant-writing and sponsorship development.

·         Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.

·         Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.

·         Financial acumen to prepare/present budgets and reports and productively interact with external accounting professionals.

·         Ability to anticipate needs, problems and potential issues and use judgment, foresight and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, recommend and implement solutions.

·         Demonstrate careful attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and effectively, proactively establish priorities and meet deadlines.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills required including ability to compose communications and grammatically correct documents in a concise, logical and organized manner.

·         Proficient in computer software applications (Microsoft Office Programs)

·         Availability for some travel, domestic and international

Desirable Qualifications

·         5 + years of increasingly responsible management experience in the not-for-profit sector that includes strategy development, positive membership results, and creative problem-solving.

·         Branding/marketing skills including thorough knowledge of digital and social media.

·         Experience in Project Management being a strategic thinker

·         Engaging, motivating and consistent spokesperson, possessing the ability to share ILEB’s vision to families, staff, board members, external partners, donors or the public.

·         Demonstrate the ability to tailor effective organizational structures, optimize staffing patterns, manage human resources and leverage human capital, oversee outsourced finances, forecast finances, leverage the board’s expertise wisely, and comply with regulations.

·         Demonstrate a professional network with ability to establish/nurture connections with influencers representing diverse backgrounds, professions and philanthropic interests Current branding/marketing skills including thorough knowledge of digital and social media

·         Proven ability to coach and motivate team members to reach new levels of accomplishment and professional fulfillment.
