Program Specialist, UI REACH
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience is 6 months – 1 year.
Experience Required
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse population.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be proficient in computer software applications.
• Demonstrated experience in programs requiring flexibility in managing multiple responsibilities.
• Experience supporting persons with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and/or learning disabilities.• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to meet the the University of Iowa's Fleet Safety requirements
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience with transition planning (e.g., advising, connecting with services, and making referrals) and/or working with community agencies that serve individuals with disabilities. Typical experience is six months to one year.
• Teaching or informal instructional experience with students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and/or learning disabilities
