Education Required
 

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business or Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related Health Industry discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 
Experience Requirements
 
  • Project Management experience, typically 1-3 years implementing and managing multiple small to large-scale programs/projects
 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer service utilizing established PMO Program/Project Management methodology, processes, procedures, tools and techniques.
 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and project team members.
 
  • Demonstrated strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills.
 
  • Experience leading teams and people to successfully implement change utilizing a positive, can-do attitude to inspire others.
 
  • Proficient in Project Management tools such as MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint.
 
  • Experience with the concept of the PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) and applying project management principles, methodology & processes, tools & techniques to managing projects.
 
  • Ability to simultaneously lead multiple small to large-scale projects.
 
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety requirements.
 
 
 
Desired Qualifications
 

Preference will be given to candidates with educational and certification credentials combined with Project Management experience in a health industry.

 
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Master Certificate in Project Management, Public Heath Certification or Informatics Certificate, Prince2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), ITILv3, Lean, Agile and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Business or Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related Health Industry discipline.
 

The department intends to hire for one position from either Project Manager, Obstetrics and Gynecology requisition #19004879 or Senior Project Manager, Obstetrics and Gynecology requisition #19004881, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
