Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree in healthcare-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

 Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, patients/families and other internal and external customers
  • Experience as a team or project leader for a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years quality-related experience
  • Basic statistical knowledge
  • Previous experience in an academic medical center
  • Specific training in quality improvement methodology (e.g. IHI, Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC). Formal training can occur following hire.
  • Professional certification related to healthcare quality (e.g. CPHQ, C-ONQS)
