Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a basic science or healthcare-related field from an accredited college or university with specialized training in laboratory medicine, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years clinical laboratory, supervisory, and/or quality program experience is required.
  • Six months to one year experience in technical writing, teaching and/or training is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in laboratory medicine is highly desired.
  • One to three years of experience in Anatomic Pathology is highly desired.
  • Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA).
  • Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) laboratory accreditation and inspection process is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform statistical and trend analysis is highly desired; experience with data analysis platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft Access, HEDI, etc. is desired.
  • Experience working with informatics and laboratory information systems (LIS) is highly desired.
  • Experience working with EPIC is highly desired.
  • Experience working in an academic health center is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with effective leadership skills is desired.
