Quality & Operational Improvement Engineer - Anatomic Pathology
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a basic science or healthcare-related field from an accredited college or university with specialized training in laboratory medicine, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years clinical laboratory, supervisory, and/or quality program experience is required.
- Six months to one year experience in technical writing, teaching and/or training is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications.
Desirable Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in laboratory medicine is highly desired.
- One to three years of experience in Anatomic Pathology is highly desired.
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA).
- Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) laboratory accreditation and inspection process is highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to perform statistical and trend analysis is highly desired; experience with data analysis platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft Access, HEDI, etc. is desired.
- Experience working with informatics and laboratory information systems (LIS) is highly desired.
- Experience working with EPIC is highly desired.
- Experience working in an academic health center is highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with effective leadership skills is desired.
