Radiation Safety Coordinator
Qualifications:
Education or Equivalency Required
A Bachelor’s degree in a physical science or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
· High level proficiency processing information accurately and with attention to detail.
· Proficiency with tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data in a department or division.
· Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
· Possession of a valid state or commercial driver's license, ability to meet University Fleet Safety Standards.
Desirable Qualifications
· Experience handling hazardous (radioactive) materials.
· Knowledge of radiation safety instrumentation.
· Familiarity with radiation regulations.
· Familiarity with radiation safety laboratory practices in a research environment.
· Knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
