The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Registrar Services Manager. This position will manage tasks and systems supporting registration including but not limited to: registration of summer and special programs, preparation of early registration, priority registration, schedule builder, restrictions/seat reservations, waitlists, registration holds, and prerequisites. They will also have the opportunity to:

  • Manage registration processes including but not limited to online registration change authorizations, Schedule Builder, prerequisites, special permission, bulk registration requests, independent study enrollment, and waitlists.
  • Direct and oversee Big10 Academic Alliance CourseShare, Traveling Scholar, and Regents Exchange Program registration and grade entry transactions throughout the session.
  • Process and consider appeals of registration service fees from students and departments. 
  • Lead the registration team in regular discussions surrounding previously mentioned registration topics.

About the Department: In the Office of the Registrar, our mission is to Help our campus community thrive using accurate, secure academic record management and to support the institution's primary functions. 

 

Work Modality: This position is eligible for hybrid or remote work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience  
  • Some (minimum one year) related experience working in higher education (two- or four-year institutions), registration, curriculum management, academic planning, project management, or information management.
  • Some (6 months to a year) experience with:
    • Operation and application of computer-based business and information systems or data management software.
    • Operation and application of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom and Office 365.
  • One year experience in a professional setting with an information system

 

Demonstrates an Extensive PROFICIENCY LEVEL in the following competencies:

  • Knowledge and application of diverse communication techniques and relationship building skills, including listening skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and guide decision-making processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and creatively on complex projects that may involve many stakeholders and/or competing priorities.
  • Ability to manage and implement complex policies and business processes, including making judgments independently regarding the accuracy of information/data.
  • Ability to pivot and live in a space of ambiguity.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated application of systems-level analysis to optimize organizational performance.
  • Experience using student information system or MAUI

Compensation: 62,000 to commensurate with Full Benefits
