Remote Physician Assistant-Telemedicine
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and certification by the NCCPA.
REQUIRED Qualifications
- Licensed as PA in the state of Iowa
- Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice is required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage acutely ill patient population (of ages 6 months and above) within a highly functioning unit/department.
- Proved capacity to function with a high degree of autonomy while actively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable with technology and leveraging video, or the desire to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.
- Internet and telephone access (10 mbps of bandwidth to deliver care via video visits)
Desired Qualifications
- PA minimum of one year in an acute care environment or Family Care.
- Some knowledge of University policies and procedures desired.
- Current valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards.
Successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
