Research Assistant – Periodontics, College of Dentistry
Join our Periodontics department at the College of Dentistry. We are currently seeking a motivated and detailed oriented professional to join our team as a Research Assistant! You will contribute to a research project investigating oral-systemic health, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and the oral microbiome. In this role, you will support data management, statistical analyses, scientific literature reviews, and research dissemination while collaborating with faculty investigators and research staff!

Responsibilities:
· Assist investigators on NIH-funded R01 research project through data management, statistical analysis, and scientific literature review.
· Collect, clean, validate, and maintain longitudinal clinical and multi-omics datasets while ensuring date quality and compliance study protocols.
· Assist with statistical analyses and prepare tables, figures, reports, and visualizations for manuscripts, presentations, and research meetings.
· Maintain research databases, project documentation, and study records, and collaborate with investigators, research staff, and laboratory personnel to support project objectives.

Research Assistant – PRK1 (Specified Term)

Salary: $50,967 to commensurate (Pay Grade: 3A)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
This position is onsite outside of required travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Biomedical Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience..
· Demonstrated ability to organize, track, and maintain accurate and complete large set data records.
· Experience using statistical, analytical, or data management software
· Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications and research procedures.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Experience supporting research, quality improvement, or data-focused projects.
· Experience working with datasets for data cleaning, validation, organization, or analysis.
· Experience using R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS, or similar analytical software for data analysis, visualization, reporting, or dashboard development.
· Experience with REDCap, Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, or similar platforms.
· Experience working with healthcare, public health, clinical, biological, or other complex datasets.
· Experience assisting with presentations, reports, abstracts, manuscripts, or other scholarly products.
Experience with microbiome, genomic, metabolomic, or other high-dimensional datasets.
