Education Required

 

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience Requirements

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

 

Previous experience in the following techniques is required:

                -Tissue culture

                -Immunoblotting

                -Mixing basic laboratory reagents and maintaining reagent stocks

                -Following basic molecular biology protocols (for example, drug treatment of cells, cell counts, cell proliferation assays)

 

Desirable Qualifications

Previous experience in the following techniques is desirable:

                -PCR, design of DNA vectors

                -Mouse husbandry

                - Maintenance of laboratory certifications

                -Ordering and organization of laboratory supplies

                -Maintenance of laboratory databases (examples include tissue culture liquid

                nitrogen stocks, antibody catalogues, reagent catalogues, and mouse colony

                records)
