Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, speech pathology, linguistics, cognitive science, neuroscience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience such that one can perform beginning level research in psychology.
Experience Required:
• Demonstrated experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs, and the ability to learn new technical skills quickly. (Working knowledge)
• Must have flexible schedule – weekend and evening hours are regularly needed. (Working experience)
• Ability to supervise undergraduate students. (Working experience)
• Experience working with children between the ages of 5-12 (Working experience)
• Ability to perform and score standardized clinical assessments of language and cognition, or to rapidly learn those skills. (Working Experience)
• Ability to use or rapidly learn to use eye-tracking hardware and software (including data processing). (Working Experience)
• Must have valid driver’s license and the ability to meet University Driving Policy standards.
Desired Qualifications:
• At least 6 months research experience in psychology, speech pathology or education, preferably in cognitive or developmental psychology. (Working Experience)
• Must demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills. (Basic experience)
• Experience with audio equipment, speech processing or speech synthesis packages, and/or acoustic analysis. (Working knowledge)
• Experience with computer programming (any language). (Working knowledge)
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, and/or Microsoft Access. (Working knowledge)
