Research Assistant
Required Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
6 months -1 year experience in biomedical research
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to follow laboratory protocols including maintaining excellent lab notes and record.
Experience in basic molecular biology techniques including isolation of DNA and cloning
Experience with PCR and preparation of adapter ligated libraries for high throughput sequencing
Familiarity with CRISPR mediated gene editing.
Experience with mammalian cell culture
Experience working with small animal models
Highly Desirable Qualifications
Experience working with RNA desirable e.g., RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis
Experience with CRISPR ribonucleoprotein preparation and delivery
Experience with FACS and cell sorting
Experience using bioinformatics/genomics software e.g., sequence analysis
Experience in working with recombinant viruses
Experience with fixing cells and staining for antigens for image analysis
Experience with microscopy techniques including immunofluorescence and confocal scopes
