Research Assistant - ICTS Clinical Research Unit
- Requires the academic knowledge of a discipline and the ability to translate, adapt, and apply the knowledge that is associated with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 mos- 1 year related experience.
- 1 – 3 years’ laboratory experience in a clinical, research or core laboratory with expertise in operating, calibrating, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment.
- General computer skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as to function independently is required.
- Ability to work some weekends, evenings, and nights per study protocol as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required including positive interpersonal skills as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions is required.
- Experience with clinical research is desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and procedures is desirable.
- Ability to work independently is desirable.
- Experience in processing research specimen is desirable.
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or specialist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
