Research Assistant - Specimen Procurement - Cancer Center
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in performing basic research in a health science field or discipline.
2. Relevant experience in the conduct of clinical lab patient care or clinical research studies.
3. Experience with specimen lab processing.
4. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Knowledge of computer-based programs and databases.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and procedures associated with human subject research.
2. Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment, performing multiple tasks while meeting core and facility objectives.
3. Demonstrated experience with procurement of human tissues and specimens and data.
4. Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, and regulations.
