Research Grant Administrator
REQUIRES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3 years’ experience in grants and contracts management, including pre- and post-award financial administration.
- Experience with federal and/or government sponsored agencies.
- Experience and knowledge with all regulatory compliance approvals required for grants and contracts.
- Demonstrated experience with Human Resources policies/procedures.
- Demonstrated ability/skill in discretion, negotiation, and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated experience with department fiscal budgetary management and administrative approvals.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
HIGHLY Desirable:
- Experience working with Higher Ed Grant Accounting for award close-outs for both federal and non-federal awards.
- Demonstrated HR Experience in the following:
- Effort management for faculty/staff for external funding sources; and
- Leave Administration.
- Working knowledge of Higher Ed policies, procedures and regulations including processing HR, Purchases, PCard reconciliation, and grant application Routing Forms.
Desirable:
- Experience with processing payments thru MAUI System.
- Supervisory experience to include performance management.
