Research Programmer - Operator Performance Laboratory
Education Requirement
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- One year or more of experience or equivalent level of training in software development.
- Ability to occasionally move aviation and research materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds in support of research for equipment assembly, disassembly, and modification and the ability to climb on scaffolding, ladders, work in confined spaces (aircraft fuselages).
- Experience with C, C#, Python, or C++ programming.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain University Driving Policy standards.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Must be US citizen.
- Must be fluent in English in written and oral form.
- Must be able to commute to work at OPL in all weather conditions.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with federal sponsors.
- Hands-on work experience with hand and power tools on aviation or closely related systems.
- Understanding electronic systems and circuits based on experience or undergraduate level course work.
- Experience in designing, fabricating, and installing electrical and computer or avionics components in aircraft or closely related systems.
- Understanding of aviation systems, terminology related to aircraft, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Data analysis and statistical analysis using state of the art tools and methodologies.
