Required Qualifications: 

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or related area is required. 

  • Microfabrication experience of compound III-V semiconductors, such as reactive ion etching, photolithography, e-beam evaporation.    

  • Optical and electrical characterization experience, such as photoluminescence, electroluminescence, light-current-voltage   

  • A record of innovation, demonstrated through publications and patents   

  • Data analysis using graphical software and computer code   

  • This position is funded by the Missile Defense Agency in the U.S. Department of Defense; funding requirements mandate that the individual hired be a U.S. citizen. 

 

Desirable Qualifications: 

  • Experience with molecular beam epitaxial semiconductor growth   

  • Experience with compound III-V semiconductor materials, especially narrow gap (mid-infrared)   

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
