Education Required: A Master’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with mouse colony management and handling.
  • Demonstrated experience to learn new and varied skills quickly.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with standard laboratory methods, including but not limited to cell culture, biochemical assays, ELISAs, Western blotting, PCR and RT-PCR, and maintaining laboratory stocks and reagents.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, healthy, and functional working environment in the lab.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, strong organizational skills, and accurate record keeping.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising and training lab personnel and students.
  • Experience in managing compliance, regulatory, and safety matters for a laboratory conducting both animal and human research.
  • Demonstrated experience in molecular biology, including cloning.
  • Demonstrated experience in culturing of human and mammalian cell lines.
  • Experience with tissue biobanking and biobank use.
