Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Considerable (3-5 years) experience related to fiscal management or administration.
  • PC experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Reasonable (1-3 years) administrative supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in pre and post award management of federal, non-federal or privately funded research grants or contracts

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience administering externally funded grants or contracts, including budget preparation, forecasting and interpreting funding agency and University guidelines.
  • Knowledge of current local, state and federal regulations.
  • Reasonable (1-3 years) experience working with administrative budgets..
  • Experience administering NIH and CDC funded research.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare reports, charts and/or documents of technical and scientific nature.
  • Knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
