Research Support Manager - Department of Epidemiology

Required Qualification:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Considerable (3-5 years) experience related to fiscal management or administration.

PC experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Reasonable (1-3 years) administrative supervisory experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in pre and post award management of federal, non-federal or privately funded research grants or contracts 

Desirable Qualifications: 

Experience administering externally funded grants or contracts, including budget preparation, forecasting and interpreting funding agency and University guidelines.

Knowledge of current local, state and federal regulations.

Reasonable (1-3 years) experience working with administrative budgets.

Experience administering NIH and CDC funded research.

Demonstrated ability to prepare reports, charts and/or documents of technical and scientific nature.

Knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.

Position and Application Details: 

This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
