Research Support Manager - UI ARC - Psychiatry
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in administration, business, science, or another relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably related to research support and operational activities.
• A minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience.
• Experience with supervising or managing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team with practical leadership skills.
• Experience with project management.
• Must be detail-oriented with evidence of good organizational skills.
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage challenging or unexpected situations and find practical solutions.
• Familiarity with healthcare policies, clinical protocols, or patient care processes/outcomes.
Desirable Qualifications
• A master’s degree in administration, business, or science.
• Background knowledge or familiarity with recovery from substance use disorders and addiction.
• Experience with research, data collection, and technical writing.
• Experience developing and managing budgets.
• Grant writing experience.
• Experience writing project reports.
• Experience working with an IRB and/or IRB-reviewed projects.
• Familiarity with University of Iowa DSP Research Tracker, workflow, and routing form processes, and transaction detail reports.
• Demonstrated experience working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality regarding protected information.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
