Research Support Specialist - The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in a core liberal arts and sciences discipline, a master’s degree in education, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications

|
|
· Minimum of one year of relevant experience |
|
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated at a working proficiency level. |
|
· Evidence of experience requiring organizational skills as well as attention to detail |
|
· Proficiency in Microsoft computer programs, particularly Excel. |
Desirable Qualifications
|
· 2-3 years of relevant experience, especially working with federal sponsors |
|
· Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service in a deadline driven environment. |
|
· Experience working with agency electronic systems such as Grants.gov, eRA Commons, and Research.gov. · Experience preparing and submitting federal, state, and/or private grants and contracts. · Experience working with the University of Iowa Research Information System (UIRIS) and Electronic Financial Reports (EFR). |
