Retail Floor Supervisor, Volunteer Gift Shops
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in business or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of full-time supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible schedule to facilitate seasonal merchandising sets and events.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a Point-of-Sale system and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
Desired:
- Merchandising experience in a multiple-department retail store setting.
- Experience utilizing business and management principles involved in:
- Strategic planning
- Marketing
- Resource allocation and inventory management
- Cash/Credit Card handling
- Human resources modeling and understanding of current Iowa hiring laws
- Leadership techniques, including coordination of people and resources
- Experience with the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Experience utilizing accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of retail financial data.
- Experience with creating custom reporting from a POS system.
