Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS-P certification required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in professional coding, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive process improvements.
  • Experience in large, multi-specialty healthcare systems or academic medical centers.  
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and apply critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to achieve strategic goals.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including database and spreadsheet analysis.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of UI Health Care policies and procedures
  • Experience with EPIC

Successful candidates will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
