Revenue Cycle Manager (Coding Manager) - Professional Coding Division (PCD) - Patient Financial Services (PFS)
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or combination of relevant education and direct coding experience.
- Certification as RHIT or RHIA; or coding certification (i.e. CPC, CCS, etc) through a nationally recognized credentialing body such as AHIMA or AAPC.
- 2 or more years medical coding experience.
- 1 or more years supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with standard office computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to learn and apply new software knowledge quickly.
- Excellent, effective written and verbal communication skills to achieve and provide quality customer service by demonstrating positive professional demeanor at all times.
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy to achieve or exceed organizational and individual performance goals.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Experience and knowledgeable with CMS regulations or industry standards.
- Proven collaboration and conflict resolution skills that demonstrate positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience with maintaining confidentiality with information received.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly change focus in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to demonstrate the core leadership competencies and commitments for the organization which includes striving for performance excellence.
- Knowledge of University Human Resources policies, procedures, and regulations and UIHC Coding policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience identifying opportunities for operational improvement and implementation of changes to workflow/processes.

Successful candidates will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
