Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance and Accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years accounting experience is required.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in statistical and financial analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desired Qualifications:

·         Experience working in a large academic medical center.

·         Extensive experience with spreadsheet applications.

·         Experience working with federal grants and industry sponsored clinical trials

·         Knowledge of University accounting policy, procedure, and systems.

·         Knowledge of accounting and budgeting tools including experience with accounts payable and purchasing, the UI General Ledger System, E-Pro Systems, HRIS,  StrataJazz, GL Reporter, and UI Electronic Financial Reports

Successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check and education/credential verification. Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check. Up to 5 professional references will be requested at a later step in the recruitment process.
