Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in admissions related work (may include undergraduate experience).
  • Must live in the Chicagoland area and be free to travel extensively. Overnight travel, evening, and weekend work.
  • The ability to move boxes and materials up to 40 lbs.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy requirements.

Competencies Required:

  • Demonstrates a basic proficiency level in the following competencies:
    • Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed and appreciated; or demonstrated the ability to do so.
    • The ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
    • Sound business ethics and consistently adheres to and promotes the values and principles in all business and personal transactions.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to analyze data fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.
  •  Demonstrates a working proficiency level in the following competencies:
    • Oral and written communications skills, including the ability to present information to large groups. Effectively and efficiently transmits, receives, interprets ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors.
    • Effective communication concepts, using varied tools and techniques to transmit, receive and interpret information both written and verbally.
    • Preparing and delivering presentations, both informal and formal, using organization, detail, question anticipation and utilizing feedback for improvement.
    • Managing multiple tasks, resource and project management, including a high level of autonomy, decision making, and time organization.
    • The knowledge and proficiency of commonly used office support software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Reasonable (typically 1-3 years) experience working in an admissions or related field highly desired.
  • Demonstrates a working proficiency in managing a recruitment territory and achieving enrollment goals.
  • Experience working as a regional admissions representative highly desired.
  • Knowledge of the nature, goals and objectives, and operational aspects of a college or university.

Additional Details:

 

Work Modality: This position is primarily on-site with remote work when traveling or other ad-hoc needs but may be in alignment with dept policies and practices. All remote work must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.

This position performed fully on-campus and will not be eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Compensation: $50,000 - Commensurate with Competitive Benefits
