Education Required

 

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

 
  • Typically 5-7 years of application development experience as a lead programmer or technical expert in a complex computing environment

  • Knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals
  • Strong experience in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and performance tune

  • Proven track record of researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making

  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and understand business reporting needs

  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as cooperatively with others

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong customer service skills

  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in a work/academic environment

     
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience providing education, support, and training of new staff members and customers

     
    Desirable Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Epic applications and Clarity database structure
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio 2014, including SSIS
  • Experience with Business Objects XI4.1 or XI4.2 reporting tools (Information Design Tool, WEBI, Crystal Reports)

  • Experience with MS tools (e.g., Excel, Project, Visio, Access)
  • Experience working in a healthcare or health industry environment
