Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Investigatory experience (typically a minimum of 3 years) including conducting interviews, policy interpretation, data gathering and analysis, writing investigative reports, and determination of remedial actions, preferably including experience with investigations that could result in suspension or expulsion.
  • Experience with due process procedures and educational development principles pertaining to the college student.
  • Work experience (typically a minimum of 1 year) in public speaking, training and/or teaching.
  • Commitment to and alignment with the values of the Division of Student Life, including a demonstrated commitment to excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Knowledge and application of the communication techniques (written and verbal) and relationship building skills that develop the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including database management, such as cloud-based management tools, Maxient, etc.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A Juris Doctorate, Master’s degree in Higher Education/Student Development, or related education and experience.
  • Advanced investigatory experience (typically 5 years or more) including conducting interviews, policy interpretation, data gathering and analysis, writing investigative reports, and determination of remedial actions, preferably also including experience with investigations that could result in suspension or expulsion.
  • Experience working effectively with faculty and students.
