Senior Human Resources Director and Assistant Director, Financial Management and Budget
Required Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 7-10 years of progressive administrative or managerial experience in human resources in a complex and/or high profile organization with multiple departments/units;
- Knowledge of contemporary human resource principles, practices and processes and current federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, policies and directives pertaining to human resources;
- Demonstrated expert/leader knowledge and ability to:
- Plan and develop an organization’s HR enterprise in order to increase individual and organization effectiveness;
- Utilize outstanding oral, written and electronic communications skills as demonstrated by (a) tailoring messaging to various audiences, including complex and highly sensitive information, (b) managing conflicts and investigations, (c) delivery of presentations or staff training, and (d) authoring/editing formal policy language;
- Implement effective strategies for promoting a diverse environment based on the principles of affirmative action and equal opportunity.
Desired Qualifications:
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or other professional HR certifications;
- Demonstrated experience (typically 3-5 years) working in one of the following is highly preferred:
- Human resource management experience in a public sector or higher education environment, or
- Senior Human Resource officer/leader at a University with a high level of collaboration between University HR and local department/division;
- Demonstrated experience in organizational workforce planning and change management to align the workforce and culture to achieve organizational goals with measureable outcomes;
- Demonstrated hands-on, collegial and collaborative leadership style that is effective throughout all levels of the organization.
