Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Certification Requirements

  • Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Current Permit to Practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required.

Experience Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in Radiologic Technology

Desirable Qualifications

  • Current American Registered Radiology Technologist with Mammography Certification is desired.
  • Experience with a Breast Imaging procedures is desired. Examples of procedures includes breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, mammography QA, breast needle and seed location
  • 1-2 years of mammography experience is desired.
