Senior Imaging Technologist/Imaging Technologist - Interventional Radiology

Education Requirements

Consideration for the Senior Imaging Technologist position requires the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

   

Consideration for the Imaging Technologist  position position requires the following:

• Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education

   

Experience Requirements

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Certification Requirements

• Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Current Permit to Practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certification in Vascular Interventional Technology or experience in Interventional Radiology.

• Recent work or clinical education experience in Interventional Radiology.

• Recent work or clinical education experience in a Level 1 trauma center.

The Radiology Department intends to hire for one position at either the Imaging Technologist classification (Pay Grade 4) or Senior Imaging Technologist (Pay Grade 5), based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
