Senior Imaging Technologist/Imaging Technologist - UICC Urgent Care (90%) ($5,000 Sign-on Incentive) - For Hires New to UI

Education Requirements

·       Senior Imaging Technologist: A bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

·       Imaging Technologist: Requires Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.  

Experience Requirements for Senior Imaging Technologist

• Must maintain current certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or other radiologic related technological certification.
• Iowa Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.
• 2 years' experience in general radiology.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team-based setting.

Experience Requirements for Imaging Technologist

• Must maintain current certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or other radiologic related technological certification.
• Iowa Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team-based setting. 

Desirable Qualifications for Senior Imaging Technologist and Imaging Technologist

• Membership in appropriate professional organizations desired.
• Previous work or clinical education experience in general radiology in an acute care environment, Emergency Department/Trauma Center is desired.
• Recent work or clinical education experience in general radiography is desired.
• Driver’s License and ability to meet University of Iowa Fleet Safety Standards is desired.
