Qualifications:

Education or Equivalency Required

A Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or clinical field (such as nursing, biomedical sciences, medical laboratory science, radiation sciences, human physiology, or behavioral or public health with a clinical/health emphasis) or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrate typically 1-3 years of current and relevant experience (generally within the last 5 years), with the conduct or monitoring of clinical trials and biomedical research design with human subjects.
  • Evidence of strong writing, speaking, and organizational skills are required.
  • Extensive experience using MS Word, databases are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with researchers on a broad range of sensitive topics.
  • Experience in preparing & submitting IRB application materials and Informed Consent Documents is required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations governing clinical research (examples given, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, FDA drug, biologic and device regulations.)


Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in biomedical research protocol development.


Desirable Qualifications

  • Certification as a Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) is desirable.
  • Certification as a Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or the ability to obtain Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification as soon as eligible.
  • A master's degree in a health-related or clinical field (such as nursing, biomedical laboratory science, radiation science, human physiology, behavioral or public health with a clinical/health emphasis).
